Client Service Representative

Job description:

The primary responsibility of the Client Service Representative is to develop a positive client experience by understanding and meeting clients' service needs quickly, professionally and accurately. As the primary point of contact for our clients, applicant must provide exemplary customer service and recognize opportunities to proactively position Variance Trading's products and services to better meet the client's needs.

Requirements:

  • Master or Bachlor in math, physics, or other quantitative disciplines. Strong applied math background in statistics, numerical analysis or related areas.
  • Solid experience in C++ and Object-Oriented design. Experienced in Linux/UNIX development environment. Experience in Java, script languages (perl, python etc.) and relational database is preferred.
  • Dedicated, enthusiastic, quick learning and good at communications.
  • Prior experience in finance is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong market and trading knowledge
  • Minimum two-years customer service experience in an extremely fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to diligently deal with issues until resolution
  • Ability to work effectively while managing several tasks
  • Problem solving and trouble shooting skills
  • Superior computer skills, especially MS Excel
  • Flexibility to work rotating 8-hour shifts Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.- 8 p.m.
The next qualifications are a plus:
  • Experience with a discount or full service broker
  • Trading experience
  • Previous experience with trading software

Quantitative Programmer

Job description:

The candidate will develop software system (mostly server-side in C++) on option pricing and risk analysis. These fully automated system help trader explore trading opportunities and manage risk. The work requires using standard pricing and risk analysis theory (arbitrage-free option pricing, multivariate variance-covariance analysis, volatility estimations etc), as well as recent cutting-edge development in quantitative finance theory.

Requirements:

Administrative Assistant

Responsibilities:

  • Opening and recording checks.
  • Preparing bank account opening documents.
  • Preparing fedex packages, filing, faxing, mailing and scheduling trips.
  • Updating and maintaining reference documents.
  • Processing customer withdrawals.
  • Monitoring incoming customer wires.
  • Ad hoc projects.
  • Collecting and distributing financials.

Requirements:

  • College Degree preferred.
  • Computer skills: Word-processing (MS-Word preferred) and spreadsheet (Excel preferred) proficiency required.
  • Applicant should be well spoken, detailed oriented, organized and be able to manage multiple tasks within given time constraints.
