Does your organization hire on a continual basis or just at certain times of the year?
Variance Trading does hire on a continual basis for the Trader Trainee position. New positions are often being created within Variance Trading.
What does the hiring process entail?
The hiring process begins with an interview with one of our recruiters. From this first step, you will then meet with the direct supervisor of the department. The final step in the interview process is to meet with our CEO.
What do you like to see in a resume?
Whether you are a Liberal Arts or Finance major, Variance Trading will allow you to explore opportunities within proprietary trading or other departments for entry level positions. We will primarily focus on resumes with reference to extra-curricular activities or community involvement along with an interest in the market.
Is there a GPA cutoff in the recruiting process for trading positions?
Variance Trading requires a minimum GPA of 3.0 in ANY major from a top university or college. Successful candidates will have a competitive nature, an ability to handle stressful situations and a high-pressure environment, outstanding character, leadership ability, and a drive for success.
What types of internship/co-op positions are available?
At the current time, Variance Trading internship and co-op programs are in the process of being developed. When they become available we will post them on our website.
