Proprietary Trader Training Program
Training is of paramount importance at Variance Trading. Our training program ensures that traders receive the necessary skills to realize their full potential. Our unique training program is the contributing factor to our leadership in the securities trading industry.
There are two training parts in Variance training's program. The first part involves developing a basic understanding of U.S. capital markets and a mastery of our execution software. At the same time, the trainee will also study for the Series 7 Exam in order to be licensed with the firm and the NASD. During the second part, new traders are assigned to a trainer who teaches them strategy and supervises them as they begin to trade live.

Software training and basic market knowledge; NASD exams & registration
(2 weeks)
Variance's training Program is recognized for its comprehensive curriculum, which prepares trainees to be astute market competitors. The training begins with a two-week orientation consisting of basic knowledge and software. This stage is intensive, and topics can vary from trainee to trainee. Intensive software instruction is necessary and beneficial so a new trader can concentrate solely on trading once they enter live trading. Trainees with prior knowledge of the stock market will benefit from this phase as they learn what information available to the public actually matters and how to filter out what does not. At the end of this training period, the trainee will take the Series 7 test in order to be licensed with the NASD and starting the next part of the training.

Mentoring & Live trading
(3-6 months)
Upon completion of classroom basic knowledge, software training and Series 7 exams, the new trader will be assigned a trainer. During and after the trading day, the trainers will offer critiques, advice and encouragement when needed.
After a few days of observation, the new trader will be given control of a small amount of capital to trade.
Twice per week, our senior traders will provide formal seminars for traders of all skill levels. These seminars serve to provide new traders market insights and introduce them to experienced traders, which fosters the atmosphere of teamwork.
We don't expect a new trader to be profitable immediately; however, our practical training program proved that being an active participant in the market shortens the learning curve of our new traders.
Part II of training lasts about three to six months.

Culture
Variance highly values the ability of its traders to contribute to the education of their colleagues by acting as teachers and or mentors. Our culture also promotes the exchange of ideas, teamwork, and synergistic relationships amongst tightly integrated departments.
The most successful traders, over time, are ones who take advantage of this environment. Markets constantly change; those traders who evolve and adapt with the market have proven to be the most profitable and consistent. This is the essence of Variance training program. Continuously staying ahead of the market leads to consistent success; those traders who take advantage of Variance's environment after the completion of the formal training period always remain at the top.
